What is sealcoating?
Sealcoating is the process of applying a protective coating to asphalt-based pavements to provide a layer of protection from the elements: water, oils, & UV damage. Sealcoating protects your asphalt pavement & keeps your driveway from deteriorating.
WHEN IS THE BEST TIME OF YEAR TO SEALCOAT?
The best time of year to sealcoat your driveway or parking lot is during the spring or summer. 70 degrees Fahrenheit or above is ideal temperature. Sealcoating your driveway in the winter is not advised as it will negatively affect the performance of the sealer. Sealcoating will not adhere to asphalt pavement in cold weather. It will also not cure correctly. Warm weather is recommended for a well-set coat & peak performance.
